What to know about healthy lifestyle?

A healthy lifestyle is a way of living that improve your health in order to live healthier and longer live. It helps you also overcoming risk factors and creating a favorable environment, conditions for improving health and preventing serious illness and chronic diseases. Health is not just about avoiding disease. It is also about physical, mental and social wellbeing.  The World Health Organization (WHO) defined health in 1948 as a state of complete physical, mental and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity.

For decades mental health has been one of the most overlooked areas of health, not receiving an important attention and resources it needs. Regarding WHO, in 2019, nearly a billion people – including 14% of the world’s adolescents – were living with a mental disorder. Suicide accounted for more than 1 in 100 deaths. The World Health Organization released on 17 June 2022 its largest review of world mental health since the turn of the century, it is about supporting the world in transforming mental health.

A healthy lifestyle provides you a satisfied, balanced, and successful life. Unfortunately, keeping a healthy lifestyle can be difficult when you have increased expectations, and expenses.  Though multiple factors impact your quality of life, having a healthy lifestyle doesn’t require a painful work. Just keep applying healthy tips, you can purposefully change your habits to live a more productive life.

Some small changes can be beneficial and affect positively your life like being conscious in your diet, eating healthy food, doing regular exercise, drinking plenty of water, getting enough sleep, avoiding stress, stop smoking, being aware about mental health and positive psychology, doing something you are passionate about, surrounding yourself with positive energy.
